The primary responsibility of this position is to provide top-notch service to clients while also cross-selling and account-rounding within the existing book of business. The Account Manager (AM) will serve as the insurance company's primary point of contact with the designated accounts. In collaboration with Producers and/or Account Executives, the AM will manage and control client relationships. Contract analysis, coverage and exposure analysis, endorsement activity, routine coverage, billing questions, problem-solving, renewal control, quote/proposal preparation, binding coverage, claim reporting, and follow-up will be part of daily client servicing. As needed, the AM will assist the Producer(s) with the above functions.

Responsibilities:
  • Client retention is the number one priority
  • Upselling and Cross selling to existing clients
  • Quote follow up and writing new business
  • Complete monthly production logs
  • Provide clients with consistent, accurate, timely, and relevant communication.
  • Maintain agency digital files (EPIC) accurately, with consistent documentation of calls, emails, and other notes and attachments, following all agency and carrier procedures.
  • Maintain constructive and effective client relationships by meeting and exceeding expectations.
  • Resolve any service issues or questions.
  • Inform and educate clients about coverage, exclusions, and exposures, and maintain appropriate electronic files.
  • Respond to client needs by accurately and on time providing/producing binders, certificates, policies, auto id cards, proof of insurance, and other related items.
  • Monitor and review client satisfaction.
  • Review audits or policies; verify accuracy and facilitate corrections, as needed, between client and carrier.
  • Collaborate with team members, mentor staff, provide expertise and answer questions, and participate in formal and informal meetings as needed.
  • Follow established agency procedures for effective utilization of the agency management system.
  • Take advantage of opportunities for personal and professional development such as continuing education, professional designations, and in-house training.
  • The Account Manager will collaborate with Producers on strategic account issues and potential problems as needed.
Requirements:
  • Associates, BA/BS preferred. HS Diploma required.
  • P&C Insurance License required.
  • At least 3 years of Commercial Lines experience as an Account Manager
  • Experience with commercial auto, property, general liability, umbrella, inland marine, workers' compensation, and flood insurance, among others.
  • Highly organized with strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Attention to detail, and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Customer-focused to establish and maintain effective relationships.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are required.
  • Intermediate level of experience in Microsoft Office products, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to analyze and understand the company for risk selection.
  • Demonstrating to work independently is required.
  • Experience with Management Systems (EPIC) is highly desired.
Compensation: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
